Colossal Coaster World!

This past week we had VBS at our church. Pool Olivia was sick on Monday so she missed the first 2 nights, and Ben and I miss the first night.  But the rest of the week was so much fun! The kids had a blast! This was Ben's first year to go! Kristi and I had the 3 year old room, so Ben was in there with us.  We love VBS!

The kids fell asleep on Friday night on the way to the final night.

They were so wiped out!

Ben's adorable class!

Belting out their songs!

Olivia facing her fear of stage fright!

Singing about Paul :)

So proud of Olivia! She was great!

The Legacy of a Godly Mother

A friend posted this on Facebook, and I wanted to make sure I was able to keep it and remember it everyday! This is awesome and perfect for the competitive world we live in!

Quote from a sermon by Pastor Jack Graham
-The Legacy of a Godly Mother
"We have ambitions for our children that they would succeed in sports, in academics and in their career ,and financially ....and there's this desire to put our kids out there so that our kids are winning in the eyes of the world....but who today is praying that their children grow up and be great in the kingdom of God? "
"What mother today in dark days, is crying "Oh God raise up my children as a light in this dark world"...are you praying that your child would be called to preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, are you praying that your daughter be a missionary to the nations to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, or are you praying little small prayers the your children will make A's in school?"
"God has called us to something greater something higher....and that is to raise a new generation of young men and women that will boldly proclaim Christ at this generation until Christ comes again....
And that ladies is your calling...."

Art Camp!

With all the hustle and bustle of getting your kids in sports and making their lives insanely busy at such a young age, we decided to take a different approach and sent Olivia to one camp this summer.  A three day art camp! She had a great time all week and was very sad that it was over.  Thanks to Miss Andrea from Snickerdoodle Kid's for putting on such a great camp! Monday and Wednesday they went Andrea's studio to make some projects.  Then today, they were at Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville. Andrea had them all set up in front of the giraffes.  It was so much fun!
Looking at the giraffes while painting their own giraffe!

Pure Joy on this little face!

Olivia and Mallory posing with their pictures! These two had so much fun together!

Their group of kids form camp this week!

Hot, tired and hungry, but they were very proud of their pictures!

4th tooth, gone!

We knew the 4th tooth wasn't far behind the 3rd, and we were right! Today we went swimming with one of Olivia's friends and she kept saying that it was really loose... as soon as we got home she went to the bathroom and came out with it in her hand. Knowing how she is with doctors, and pain and scared of getting her ears pierced, I'm really shocked pulling out a tooth doesn't freak her out a bit.  I can't believe she's lost 4 teeth before she even starts Kindergarten!!

Olivia's 3rd tooth!

Olivia had 2 loose teeth in the past month.  Today she noticed how loose one of them had become.  She started twisting and pulling and BAM!  It came out! She was so proud! After losing 2 already, she is quite a pro.  The 4th tooth isn't far behind.

Putting her tooth in her pillow for the tooth fairy to get tonight!

Bob's 60th Birthday bash!

This weekend Bob turned 60! Mom threw him a birthday bash to celebrate! We are so thankful for Bob. He has been so great to my mom and he is such a great grandpa for our kiddos! They adore him! We are all pretty fond of him!
