Rollercoaster obsession!

Ben is obsessed with roller coasters!  He recently discovered that he was 40 inches (if you talk to him I'm sure he'll tell you) and now he gets to ride some "big" rides at Disney World!! He can't wait!! All he talks about are roller coasters, askes Nate and I how fun they are and if we've been on this or that ride, and does it go super fast and does it have loop de loops!  So today he told me he was going to make something... yes, it's a vaccum cleaner cord, but if you use your 3 year old imagination I bet you see something else!! :)

Gymnstics

Olivia loves gymnastics! And while most girls her age can already do back handsprings, I'm pretty impressed with her cartwheels after only a few months of class! She gets to spend an hour each Monday with her pal, Mallory, which makes gymnastics that much more fun!

We have walls!!

Loving to learn!

Olivia is loving school! Now that she has gotten over the I miss being home phase. Don't get me wrong, she still misses being at home, but i'm so very proud of how quickly she is learning! As a mom, I often have guilt that I didn't teach her enough at home. Maybe I should have spent less time letting her play, and more time doing flash cards and teaching her how to read.  But now that she is starting to read, I'm so happy she had those (almost) 6 years to just be a kid and have fun! Plus it helps that she is a quick learner :) She was sent home her first reading book last week.  See and my are repeated on each page so she can learn those two words.  The smile on her face when she "read" it to me the first time was priceless! This morning, my little over achiever was coloring, and it quickly turned into writing what she can read in her book. I know it's not a huge deal because all kindergartners learn to read (some before they even start kindergarten) , but to see her so excited to sit there and copy those words and then read the page to me was a proud mom moment! So blessed to call this sweet girl my own!

The building process has started!!

Our land is not longer an empty space! We have a basement dug, mounds of dirt and a driveway!! It's so exciting to see this beginning!  It will be fun to keep track of it as it all progresses!

Ben's first day of Preschool

Today was Ben's first day of Preschool! He was more than ready to go this morning!! He has asked when he could go since Olivia started school this year.  He couldn't wait to start!!  I'm so happy he did so well and there was no fear or tears, but on the flip side he couldn't wait for me to leave once we got to school.  He is growing up so much and he has so much character!
He wants to be a cowboy... news to me!

Showing off his strong muscles and how big he is!

I asked him if I could take a picture of him on the rug and he said "Yes you can take 1 picture, but then you have to leave!"  My baby is growing up

I had to sneak this picture in because he said he wasn't going to do anything until I left.  I had planned on helping in his room a lot this year but i'm not so sure he'll want me to!

When I picked him up Miss Jenny told me that he was such a funny kid.  She said it was funny because Olivia only spoke when spoken to, but Ben told all sorts of stories today.  I can only imagine what his teachers will think of our little class clown!
