Olivia celebrated another birthday party this weekend! This time with her friends.  This was her first real friend party. She was so excited and they all seemed to have a great time! Thank you to Grandma Garrison and Aunt Erin for coming to help!  Grandma brought cakes for each of the girls to decorate, and we had Doc McStuffins cupcakes with little band aids on them.
Thanks to all of Olivia's friends for joining us for this day!

Loose Tooth!

We discovered today, that Olivia has her first loose tooth! We just started talking about her loosing teeth and she kept asking when she would lose one.  I told her that it would probably be sometime next year.  So she is VERY excited to discover she doesn't have to wait that long :)

Olivia's family birthday celebration!

Since we will be at Disney on Olivia's birthday this year, we are having to spread out her parties! She doesn't seem to mind that she's getting to celebrate for 3 weeks :)  This past weekend we had her family party.  She loves Doc McStuffins, and she LOVED her cake! Grandma Garrison did a perfect job!  Olivia is a funny girl, I must say.  She is usually so quiet and reserved, but when it comes to her family parties, she is a hoot!  She is very appreciative of each of her gifts, and truly loves having all of her family in one place! We are blessed by this sweet girl.  I can't believe she is turning 5!!

Her Squinkie Ferris wheel she has been talking about non stop!

Choked Up

I've talked about being a stay at home mom many times... and yes, sometimes it's discouraging that a lot of people don't see what we do as "work".  I've had many days where I've thought I've ruined my kids socially by staying home with them full time, and I sometimes think of all the bills we could have paid off if I worked outside of the home.  But yesterday, seeing my baby girl go off to preschool, I was reminded that it doesn't matter what other people think of my "job".  For this time in my life I believe that my calling from God is to be a full time mom and wife.  And I'm overjoyed to be able to do this!

Last night I was talking to an older lady from my church.  In casual conversation she asked if I stayed home. I told her yes, and I never expected her reaction.  She told me that it blessed her to hear that, then she had to stop because she said she was getting choked up.  We had a great conversation, and I left knowing that God had placed that conversation in my life at that moment to remind me that I'm doing what He wants me to be doing.  While I can't promise there won't be days I'll get discouraged... I will remember this conversation, and I'll remember what a blessing my job is to my and my children!

Preschool!

My sweet baby girl just walked into her first day of school... I wasn't sad, until I started looking at these pictures. I can't even believe that she is almost 5 years old, and that she is starting preschool today!  I feel like I was just holding this tiny new baby girl in my arms, knowing that the 26 hours of labor were all worth it.  She has brought such joy to our lives! She is such a sweet, caring, gently, loving, adorable and well behaved little girl.  And the sad part is, I know she's growing up. Before I know it, she'll be in Kindergarten, then high school, then college and then married with her own kids! And I know this will happen far more quickly than I want it to.  I have been blessed to stay home with her since she was born, and it's going to be a big adjustment not having her with me all day, everyday!
We love you sweet Olivia!
Praise God for blessing us with such an amazing child!

I can't wait to hear all about her first day!! :)
