Mr. Delmar

Mr. Delmar has such a special place in our families heart.  When we first walked in the doors of Oak Hill Baptist Church we met him.  Ben would be in his Sunday school class and instantly we knew he loved our little Ben. They have had such a sweet little bond, even after Ben moved up to the next class.  Delmar's mother had been ill for a while and he always said after she passed he would be moving to Washington to be with his son and his family.  Unfortunately she passed away recently and Delmar is making plans to move.  I recently said something to the kids about Delmar leaving and Ben start sobbing.  (we were in a restaurant at the time also).  He had told us a few weeks ago he had some material to make the kids a blanket before he left but didn't think he'd have time to do it. So yesterday he brought the material to church and last night we made their blankets.  The kids were so excited!  We will sure miss that sweet man when he leaves but the'll always remember him I'm sure!
