I found a recipe for homemade Laundry Detergent several months ago. It is the same recipe the Duggar's (19 kids and counting) use for their family. Here is the link Laundry Detergent (I can teach my child).
Alison and I went together to make a batch. The total cost was around 10 dollars. This made 10 gallons of detergent! The blog above says it equals out to 1 cent per load! I used it last night and I loved it! It smelled clean and seemed to work well. Can't beat that!

I've been curious to know how this works-- I think I'll save up some milk containers and give it a try!
